Our mission is to share the passion and empowerment of Flying Trapeze and Circus Arts with kids of all ages within an encouraging, safe and healthy environment to practice of courage, confidence, and mental , emotional and physical strength and resilience.
It is our goal to give participants an amazing experience. We are mindful of our students feelings and support them in any way we can. Our number one priority is safety, but we also understand the importance of our participants "feeling safe"- not just physically, but emotionally and socially. We want participants to be a part of a team, and feel a valued member of the team. We want every summer camp kid and adult summer camper to have an amazing experience!
Flying Colors Trapeze is born from, and in partnership with Embrace Adrenaline Flying Trapeze Club, which has been sharing the passion of Flying Trapeze since 2005 through summer programs for kids and teens, teen club, adult club, private parties and group lessons. You can find more information on becoming a club member and exploring your own trapeze journey-https://embraceadrenaline.com
"Your Attitude, Not your Aptitude, Will determine your Altitude." Zig Ziglar
Wise words from Mr Ziglar. We believe that circus arts can be accessible to all people, no matter the physical capacity and at most ages (8-80) We celebrate the effort of hanging by the knees on a low hung trapeze as much as catching a double on the Flying Trapeze. From our perspective the trick that is simple for one can be a momentous accomplishment for another, and we support and celebrate all accomplishments! It is an attitude and enthusiasm to try that is most important, and we are proud of all of our students efforts. We strive to gently support each individual to set attainable goals for the day and the week, and do everything we can to help them achieve their highest potential. It is important to us that you, your teen or child feel empowered by and love their camp experience.
"I have three different kids that love to fly- Sherri and the other coaches and catchers at Flying Colors Trapeze School are always encouraging and recognize my children's individuality! My son says, "The environment is all about learning and having fun without pressure." This is such a great opportunity to work on Flying Trapeze skills on a consistent basis in the open air with such a positive coach!"

Every program that we offer begins with the underliying focus on empowerment. We want everyone to experience success and walk away proud of their accomplishments.
Each year a portion of our proceeds go toward giving the powerful experience of Flying Trapeze and Circus Arts empowerment programs to non-profit programs that are making a difference in empowering the lives of youth and women. In 2017 we began this philanthropy program by partnering with Safe Zone, a drop in center for homeless youth and an extension of Face To Face -Empowering Youth.
Johnathon came to us as a participant in Safe Zones Empowerment Program. Johnathon is a gentle giant on his way to finding a better life for himself. He was participating in Safe Zones leadership program and as a final celebration of the groups commitment and hard work they came to Flying Colors for an empowering Flying Trapeze experience. Johnathon went through the ground school with his group to gain confidence and comfort with the process. He was brave to climb the ladder and mount the board, but once it was time to jump off that board and take a swing, he froze. We worked with him for quite some time, until he decided he would rather climb back down the ladder. From the ground, he watched as other members took swings on the trapeze. He decided to brave the ladder a second time to take a swing. Once again he froze. We encouraged and worked with him, but he chose to climb back down. (No small feat) He watched longer and again worked up his courage. Well as they say" the third time is a charm". Johnathon climbed that ladder, got ready to jump and froze again... but worked through it this time and built up his courage enough to jump and take the swing. He was thrilled! After that he climbed back up several more times. Yay Johnathon! We celebrate your accomplishment! It was difficult, but you persevered.
In speaking of the experience afterward Johnathon said, "It was scary, but I had to do it, because I knew that if I could do this, I COULD DO ANYTHING". Johnathon left feeling very proud of himself and his ability to work through his fear and accomplish his goal. We were very proud of Johnathon as well.
If you have ideas for non-profit organizations that could benefit from an empowerment program with Flying Colors Trapeze and Circus Arts please drop us a line.
A portion of our proceeds from camps go toward our community enhancement programs, giving the empowerment of circus arts to underserved women and youth in our community.
In 2017 this was for the teens and young adult in the leadership program at Safe Zone. (Face to Face)
In 2018 we gifted Dream of Wild Health with an event- whose mission is to restore health and well-being in the Native community by recovering knowledge of and access to healthy Indigenous foods, medicines and lifeways. If you would like to share ideas of programs that you feel can benefit from our experience please contact Sherri.
in 2005 the Embrace Adenanline Flying Trapeze Club was founded with our premium Trapeze Rig designed and built by Trevor Boswell of TrapezeRigging.com. Trevor is a former professional catcher and a trusted professional in the world of circus rigging. For the past 11 years the rigging and safety has been managed by our safety expert, Shawn Klancke - 25 years of rigging, rescue and safety experience and training. We are in good hands with Shawn who has put in many additional safety protocols and backups.
Safety is our number one priority, the Flying Trapeze Rig is taken down each year for a thorough inspection twice a year, and replacement of parts. The rig is equipped with safety lines and a net, and all of our equipment is rated for safety and rescue, inspected and replaced regularly. We do daily inspections and are proud of our safety record. This diligence will help to ensure a positive experience at Circus Camp, Flying Trapeze Class, party or event.
No Previous Experience Necessary.
A part of our safety story is the manor in which we teach. We respect each individuals level of body awareness, physical fitness, and mental and physical capacity. Our experienced staff will teach each individual to their level, and we strive to make every story a success story - wether a first swing, or the mastery of a complicated trick. We love to help our summer camp kids and teens, women and men explore their personal power and leave feeling accomplished.
